Columbus, IN — Bartholomew County Sheriff’s deputies were looking for a subject who had multiple outstanding arrest warrants. Jason Morgan, 42 of Hope, was located riding a bicycle near the intersection of US 31 and SR 7. When deputies made contact, Morgan falsely identified himself and ran into a cornfield. Both a Columbus Police Department K9 and Columbus Fire Department drone arrived on the scene to assist in the search and Morgan was taken into custody without further incident. After identification was confirmed, Morgan was taken to the Bartholomew County Jail and charged on allegations of Criminal Mischief, Resisting Law Enforcement, and five arrest warrants.
