Greensburg, IN — On Wednesday, the Greensburg Police Department was dispatched to Parkside Drive in reference to a disturbance. As officers responded, they were advised that a male had come to the residence and discharged a firearm, but had left the area before the police arrived.
As the investigation continued, it was learned that the argument was over a vehicle. Officers then began conducting interviews with the victim and witnesses. Officers were able to locate Kirk Black, 29 of Greensburg, at another residence where he was taken into custody.
A search warrant was later executed and evidence was also collected at the initial scene. Black was transported to the Decatur County Jail and charged on allegations of Criminal Recklessness with a Deadly Weapon, Carrying a Handgun without a License, and Disorderly Conduct.
