Nick Spurlin, 19, of Laurel, passed away on July 11, 2020. He was born on August 15, 2000 in Batesville, the son of Scott and Beverly McDivitt Spurlin. Nick was a 2019 graduate of North Decatur High School. He worked for CD&R Components of Greensburg.
Nick loved music, playing video games and adored his cousins, niece and nephews. Nick was known for his kindness and caring heart.
Survivors include: Parents, Scott and Beverly Spurlin; Grandparents, Paul and Betty McDivitt; Sisters, Elissa Spurlin and Kristin (Jonathan) Maze; Brother, John Russell; Nephews, Aiden and Ian Maze; Niece, Chloe Maze; Aunts, Paula (Doug) Maupin and Cara Geis; Uncle, Chris McDivitt; Cousins, Mackinzie Maupin, Baylie Lakes, Courtney Raver, Kayla Geis, and June Stanley. He was preceded in death by his Grandparents Donald and Beverly Sue Spurlin.
A visitation from family and friends, observing CDC precautions will be held at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home on Thursday, July 16, 2020 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. A Facebook Live Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 17, 2020 at 10:00 am Rev. Jerran Jackson will be officiating. Burial will follow.
