Erma Jean Oljace, 83, passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at her home with her family by her side. Born, December 5, 1936 in Greensburg, she was the daughter of Andrew and Bessie (McKay) Harrison. Jean graduated from Greensburg High School in 1954. She worked for Johnson Wholesale, Delta Faucet, and American Lifts all in Greensburg. She was a very active member of the First Baptist Church, where she played piano, sang in the choir, and helped with Sunday School. She was a member of Psi Iota Xi Sorority in Greensburg. Jean sang and played piano for the Tree County Singers, the Tree County Players, and the Songbirds all in Greensburg. Jean and her husband Don both played and loved music and have several recordings together. Jean married Dr. Donald E. Oljace on February 14, 1986 and he preceded her in death on November 4, 2014. She is survived by one son; Jeff (Judy) McClure, Greensburg, two daughters; Christy (Kip) Hull, Greensburg, Janice Ryle, Greensburg, one stepson; John Oljace, Bloomington, three stepdaughters; Kathy Miller, Greensburg, Jenny (Chris) Frederickson, Bloomington, Kim (Chris) Yentes, Fairland, grandchildren; Lena Navarro, Jessica McClure, Tim McClure, Kyra Hull, Lizzie Hull, Dillon Ryle, Lexi Ryle, Mike Cooper, Darrell Cooper, Alex Morrow, Alena Oljace, Jayden Oljace, Cami Touloukian, Kasie Cloud, Brett Frederickson, Jake Frederickson, Blake Yentes, Trent Yentes, and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1st husband; Don McClure, and two brothers; Dale Harrison, and Carl Harrison. Visitation will be at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home on Monday, June 29, 2020 from 11 am to 2 pm following CDC guidelines for social distancing. Funeral Services will start at 2 pm on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the First Baptist Church or Our Hospice of Decatur County.
