James P. “Spot” Doll, age 83 of Batesville, died Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at the Heritage House in Greensburg. A member of the Knights of Columbus Council #1461, where he was very active and the Ripley County V.F.W. Post #3183, Spot enjoyed many hobbies. He was an avid golfer, I.U. and Reds fan, a coin collector, card player who preferred Solo and 7 up in addition to raising a vegetable garden each year. Spot had a sense of humor and according to his family, never knew a stranger. Apparently he could lay it on pretty thick too!
