VEVAY, Ind. – Six people were found dead in an early morning house fire in rural Switzerland County Saturday.
First responders were called to the house on Lewis Drive around 3 a.m. and found the home fully engulfed.
“Upon extinguishing the fire, it was determined there were multiple victims deceased inside the residence,” according to Indiana State Police spokesperson Stephen Wheeles.
Authorities recovered six deceased victims inside the house. One adult male was able to escape from the home without injury.
The names of the victims are being withheld at this time. The investigation is ongoing as authorities do not currently suspect foul play.
