Martin L. Pflum, 68, of Brookville, died on Tuesday March 24, 2020, at Reid Health in Richmond.
Martin was born in Brookville on February 3, 1952, to Charles M. and Marjorie M. Gillman Pflum. He married Nancy Beckman on July 24, 1971, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Brookville. Martin was employed in production at Monsanto. He was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, the American Legion, and the VFW. He loved playing with his grandchildren, coaching his grandson, and spending time with his family. Martin also enjoyed helping others, watching sports, and working in his yard.
In addition to his wife of forty-nine years, Martin is survived by a son: Tony Pflum of Brookville, three grandchildren: Zoie Pflum, Jack and Colin Seals; three siblings: Steve Pflum and Diane, Sherry Sauerland and Mike, and Debbie Beesley and Rick all of Brookville; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Courtney, his parents, and three brothers; Richard, Michael, and James Pflum.
Honoring Martin’s wishes, the family has chosen cremation. A Memorial Mass and celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Brookville Fire Department or Brook Hill Golf Club. Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements.
