JENNINGS CO., Ind. – Jennings County 911 will discontinue the use of the emergency notification software Nixle on March 31 and transition to a new provider.
The new service called CodeRED offers much greater potential to reach many more of our residents and visitors in a much faster time, officials said.
“We also have the ability to target specific neighborhoods so that we aren’t alerting people who aren’t affected by the alert, for example, a boil water advisory. For our users, they provide the capability to manage an entire household of contacts from a single account,” Jennings County 911 said.
Citizens can register either by online or by phone. Smart phone users must download the app and then register there as well. Here are the links:
