Batesville, IN—Mr. Andy Allen of Batesville High School announced today that Erin E. Batta has been named a Finalist in the 2020 National Merit Scholarship Program. Erin is among approximately 15,000 finalists for 2020 from across the nation and was recently named by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. Erin is the daughter of Mr. Nick and Faith Batta.
Batta becomes the 26th Batesville High School student to reach the National Merit Finalist status and will attempt to become the third to be named National Merit winner. She will continue in the competition for some 7,500 National Merit Scholarships worth more than $32 million that will be offered this spring. National Merit Scholarship winners of 2020 will be announced in four nationwide news releases beginning in April and concluding in July.
