Wanda L. Barnes, 77, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Aspen Place Health Campus in Greensburg. Born, June 11, 1942 in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Murl and Alice (Hockersmith) Massingale. Wanda was a nurse for most of her life. She had worked at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis and for over 10 years was a nurse at New Adventures. Wanda was also a former expert panelist for WTHR in Indianapolis. She had lived in Greensburg for the last several years. She was married to Jasper Barnes on September 9, 1960 and he preceded him in death on August 7, 1981. Wanda is survived by two sons; Kevin (Julie) Barnes, Indianapolis, Rodger (Teresa) Barnes, Richmond, one daughter; Kim (Urban) Johannigman, Greensburg, two sisters; Pamela (Larry) Church, Deeann Schaffer, one sister-in-law; Veronica Massingale, 16 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Jasper Barnes, and one brother; Duane Massingale. Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 p.m. Friday, November 1, 2019 at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg with a rosary service starting at 4:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greensburg with Rev.
