Nancy L. Hoog, 72, of Brookville passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2019, surrounded by her family.
She was born in Batesville on April 19, 1947 to Wilson and Ethel Greene Payne. She was married to the love of her life Clifford Hoog who preceded her in death. She was a member of the Brookville Order of Eastern Star. Nancy owned and operated Caring Hearts daycare and she was proud to touch the lives of every child that came through her door. Nancy’s passion through life was her love of caring for children and having fun with her family.
Nancy is survived by her brother Jim Payne and his wife Janet of Cambridge City; a brother-in-law; Raymond Hoog; two sisters-in-law; Barbara Hill and Rosemary Ramey; several nieces and nephews; special niece Diane Price who oversaw her care, her best friend Carolyn Hofer and all the children she cared for over the years in her day care. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Clifford, and her sister Mary Jo Mosley.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 1, 2019 at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home 929 Main Street Brookville. Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
