Franklin County High School Girls Varsity Cross Country beat Lawrenceburg High School 25-30.
Although the Lawrenceburg course, combined with the warm temperatures was grueling for some of the Lady Wildcats, they persevered to win against Lawrenceburg. Junior, Lauren Kelley, won the race with a time of 22:21. Senior, Katelyn Meyer, placed 3rd with a time of 24:35. Junior, Josie Selm, had a time of 27:26 and finished in 5th place. Sophomore, Katherine Apsley, came in with a 7th place finish, and Sophomore, Emma Cabezuelo finished 9th with a time of 29:15. The lady cross country runners are hoping to keep the momentum going and keep running stronger and stronger.
Franklin County High School Boys Varsity Cross Country beat Lawrenceburg High School 18-43.
The Wildcat Boys Cross Country team took 4 of the top 5 spots on the difficult Lawrenceburg course. Junior, Drew Grant, led the Wildcats to the win with his 19:53 first-place finish. Sophomore, Ben Maze, was right behind him with a time of 19:56. Both runners led the race from start to finish. Freshman, Hunter Marshall, finished in 4th place with a time of 21:13. Senior, Harvey Marshall, was 5th, just five seconds behind at 21:18. Senior, Kyle Seibert, is continuing to run strong, with his 21:32 6th place finish. The Wildcats performed well in this challenging race.
