Saturday morning came extremely early, we loaded the bus at 6:45 am to play Madison in the first game of pool play at 9 am.
We held our own with them but still lost in 2 sets. 25-8 and 25-16. We had a few serve errors at critical times. Rachel Bischoff had 2 kills. Makyah Richardson had 2 kills and 4 blocks. Mercedez Waddell had 1 kill and 1 dig. Rae Ertel had 1 kill. Anna Sacksteder had 1 kill. Alex Gillman had 1 block and 1 assist. Kelly Layton had 3 assists and 1 dig. Audrey Reister had 3 assists and 1 dig.
We then played in the 3rd game around 11 am against South Ripley. This game went very well. We won in 2 sets 25-20 and 25-17. The girls cleaned up on serves this game. Kelsey Vail, Audrey Reister and Makyah Richardson each had 2 ace serves. Makyah Richardson had 3 kills, 4 blocks and 2 digs. Rachel Bischoff had 2 blocks and 1 dig. Mercedez Waddell had 2 blocks and 1 assist. Kelly Layton had 1 kill and 2 assists. Audrey Reister had 1 assist. Kelsey Vail had 3 digs. Jalynn Rogers had 1 dig.
Our next game was at 2 pm against Rock Creek, we had sat for 2 other games to be played. We fell to Rock Creek in 2 sets 25-17 and 25-7. The first set went well. The second set, we couldn’t get a good pass on their serve. It was 0-12 when we finally took possession of the ball. I’m not sure but I think we just needed to be more focused. Kelsey Vail had 1 ace serve and 2 digs. Rachel Bischoff had 1 kill and 2 digs. Charlotte Barrett had 1 kill. Makyah had 3 big blocks against there middle hitter. Anna Sacksteder had 1 block. Kelly Layton and Audrey Reister each had 1 assist. Jalynn Rogers had 5 digs.
We are on the road all this week. Tuesday, Sept 3rd, we are at EC!!! Come on out and support your Lady Cats!! We are FC!!!
