Saturday Morning, the Boys Varsity soccer team faced off against the Franklin County Wildcats winning 11-0.
5 minutes into the match Joey Gutzwiller took a free kick from wide right near the sideline which was lofted up beyond reach and right into the left side netting for the first goal of the match. 29:57 JJ Kuisel played a through ball to Eli Pierson which was well placed around the keeper. 26:50 Calvin Sherwood played the ball into Ian Powers feet and he nicely placed a 25 yard shot. 14:32 Joey Gutzwiller passed a ball into space for JJ Kuisel to run onto and shot for a goal. First half ended 4-0 for the Bulldogs.
34:30 Ian Powers scored his second outside the 18 yard line wide right just inside the goal post. 33:39 Calvin Sherwood dribbled from the midfield and played a square ball to Ian Powers which he earned his hat trick off of. 32:10 Brandon Allgeier played the ball down the line to Eli Pierson which was then taken into space and sent to the net. 29:39 Eli again scored a goal in similar fashion with the assist from Adam Vogelsang. 18:03 Kent Meyers took a long shot which was deflected off keeper and Manav Patel followed up and volleyed the deflection for goal. 9:42 Kent Meyers fired another long shot this time bouncing off of the far post into the net. Final goal of the match came from a defensive mistake for the Wildcats where Ryan Reder crashed goal and blocked the keepers clearance and found the net.
Final score 11-0 for a Batesville conference win.
