Guy Neeley, of Gas City, IN was born in Sand Gap, Kentucky on May 7, 1942, a son to Woodson and Gladys Abrams Neeley. He married Judith Meyer on November 18, 1967 and she survives. From this union, they had one child, Robert L. Neeley. Growing up, Guy had worked at several odd jobs, including delivering newspapers with his mother. He retired from Thompson Trucking in 2007, where he enjoyed driving dump trucks. Guy had a love for his guns, hunting and fishing, playing baseball, horseback riding, watching westerns, listening to country music, and riding his ATV. His family and friends were his life. On Saturday, August 17, 2019, at the age of 77, Guy passed away at Colonial Oaks Health and Rehabilitation Center in Marion, IN.
Those surviving who will cherish Guy’s memory include his wife Judith, one son, Robert Neeley, three sisters, Gerry (Bill) Stout of FL, Brenda (Kenny) Davidson of FL, and Woody (George) Browning of Metamora, and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Mains and Kaye Smith.
Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville. Pastor Jim Webster will conduct funeral services at 1 p.m. on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at the funeral home and burial will follow immediately in Big Cedar Cemetery.
