Kathyleen Combs Ward, 61, of Greensburg, passed away on August 16, 2019. She was born on February 18, 1958, in Decatur County the daughter of Curtis, Sr. and Sarah Combs. Kathyleen was a 1976 graduate of South Decatur High School and a 1981 graduate of Ivy Tech. She was a music minister for over 36 years for the Free Methodist Church and was a music teacher. Kathyleen was a member of the Free Methodist Church, Salvation Army, and the Red Hats Society. She played music for over 50 years with her dad where they traveled all over the state and for over 20 years with her whole family.
Survivors include: Husband- Ronnie Ward; Son- Jeffery (Cierra) Ward; Brother- Curtis (Jannie) Combs, Jr.; Sisters- Rosalia (David) Young; Dorothy (Matthew) Galbraith; and Donna S. Mitchel; Nephews- Jason (Debbie) Young, Jacob Young, Andrew Galbraith, Sonny James (Allison) Mitchell, Jonathon (Sarah) Galbraith, William (Kellie) Galbraith, Curtis Combs III, and Victor Combs; Nieces- Jeanine Dale and Maria Annette Combs. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Nephew- Jordan Dale, and Great Nephew- Chase Galbraith.
A visitation for family and friends will be held at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Funeral Services will be Thursday, August 22, 2019 at 11:00 am also at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Union Baptist Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Gideon’s.
