Five area fire departments responded to a blaze at Book Hill Golf Clubhouse, north of Brookville. Franklin County Dispatch got a call in the noon hour Saturday, reporting a golf cart on fire under the deck. Brookville Fire Department initially responded and found a fire that was said to be electrical in nature and involving utilities. Cedar Grove, Sunman, Blooming Grove and Liberty departments provided mutual aid. There were no injuries. Damages include extensive roof damage, roughly half the deck on the rear of the facility gone, and a total loss of the contents of the basement including golf carts. However, the golf course was able to open as normal on Sunday.
