Greensburg got off to a quick start and never looked back in rout to an 11-0 victory over the Franklin County Wildcats. In the first inning the Pirates were able to pile up six hits to give them an early 5-0 lead. With the pitching of Rose Morrison keeping the Wildcats guessing in the box, the Pirates never looked back and secured the 11-0 victory.
The Wildcats could never string a group of hits together to bring a run around to score. As has been the case at times this season, the defense had a few mistakes that allowed Greensburg to take advantage and put the game away.
Camryn Brewer pitched in the circle for the Wildcats and the lack-luster defense did not help her in keeping the high powered offense of the Pirates in-check. She pitched all five innings, allowing only 6 earned runs, 1 walk, and 1 strikeout.
