Lady Bulldogs Middle School Hoopsters Win Home Opener Against Lady Indians

The 7th Grade Lady Bulldogs won their home opener last night 22-12 vs. the Milan.

The Bulldogs played a physical style of basketball on both ends of the floor to outlast the Indians.  After giving up 5 points in the first quarter, they locked down on defense allowing only 7 points the rest of the game.

Leading the way scoring was Kaylin Hinners with 8 points; followed by Rachel Lamping 5 points; Renee Lecher 4 points; Billie Puente 2 points; Kennedy Cozart 2 points; and Kaylie Raver with 1 point.

The girls improve to 2-0 on the season and will host Jac-Cen-Del on Thursday night at home starting at 5:30 pm.  Come out and support the Bulldogs!

The 8th Grade Lady Bulldogs hosted the Milan Lady Indians on Tuesday night, and came away with a 39-8 team victory.

Again the Lady Bulldogs came out with an aggressive defense that set the tone for the game.  The Lady Bulldogs strong defensive effort set their offense in motion.

Offensively 10 of the 11 Lady Bulldogs were in the scoring column with Ava Hanson leading the way with 10 points.  Also scoring for the Lady Bulldogs were Emma Weiler with 8, Timbrè Davies and Ella Wilhelm both scored 4, Lizzy Nobbe added 3, and Lil Tinker, Tiffany Hawker, Cora Deputy, Megan Meyer, and Makayla Granger each added 2 points.  The Lady Indians were lead offensively by Eleanor Honnertt with 5, and Brianna McKeown add 3.

The Lady Bulldogs will host the Jac-Cen-Del Lady Eagles on Thursday night.  The 7th grade game will begin at 5:30.
