Lila Lee Fruits, age 94, of Brookville, Indiana died Sunday January 6, 2019 at the Knolls of Oxford in Oxford, Ohio.
Born September 6, 1924 in Hancock County, Tennessee she was one of six children born to the late John L. & Sirilda Jane (Middleteon) Marcum. On December 20, 1941 she was united in marriage to Arnold J. Fruits, and he preceded her in death on January 18, 2001.
A homemaker & farmers wife, she was a member of the Whitcomb United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda (Robert) Schnitker of Brookville, Indiana; five grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces & nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband Arnold, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Phyllis Schmidt, three sisters, Nan Long, Addie Gilbert and Mary Flack; and two brothers, Neil Marcum and Lonnie Marcum.
Family & friends may visit from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.
Pastor Kevin Waltz of Emmanuel Baptist Church will officiate the Funeral Services at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, with burial following in Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville.
