Mary Grace Bischoff passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 3. She was born on January 9, 1942 and lived to be 76 years old, just short of her 77th birthday. Mary Grace and Cliff were married for 58 years and travelled to Maine twice a year. They also loved to visit Canada and drove 5,000 miles on the Alaska highway. Mary Grace loved to play cards, 7up was one of her favorites. She was an artist at heart and loved to carve wood and did numerous oil paintings. She assisted in restoring the oil painting at All Saint’s Parish, St. Joe’s Church. She showed much of her art in galleries in Metamora and Brown County. Mary Grace was an avid antique collector of early American items, most from the 1700’s.
Mary Grace leaves behind her beloved husband Cliff, sons Tony (Jean) of St. Leon, IN, David (Julie) of Harrison, OH, and Todd of Bright, IN. She also leaves behind grandchildren Megan, Trevor (Laura), Jacob (Cassidy), Lindsay, Abigail, Blake, Connor, Cole, Grant, Brianna, Shane (Sam), and Alex and great grandchildren Chloe and Braxton, as well as sisters Dorothy Gillman, Alean Saunders, and Rosie Lohman. Mary Grace is preceded in death by her daughter Therese Ruth Bischoff Rider, great grandson Christopher Donald Griffith, and siblings Robert, Ralph, Jerry, and Tom Werner, Betty Oligee and JoAnne Fassler. The family would like to give an extra thank you to Sam who has taken care of Mary Grace with the upmost respect, dignity and love during her last few days. This has meant the world to the family and will never be forgotten.
Visitation will be held at the All Saints Parish Life Center in St. Leon on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Visitation will begin with Rosary at 9:00. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:30 p.m. at All Saints Parish, St. Joe’s Campus, immediately followed by burial at St. Joe’s Cemetery.
