Jennings County, In. — A report from the Jennings County Sheriff’s Department says a North Vernon woman was killed in a Monday morning traffic accident on U.S. 50 at the Ripley County line.
At 6:30 a.m. deputies say two vehicles traveling in opposite directions sideswiped each other. After the impact, the vehicle driven by Brittany Comer went into the wrong lane and was struck by a vehicle driven by Michelle Hoover, 44, of North Vernon. Hoover was declared deceased at the scene. Comer was treated for minor injuries. Jason Hamm, 41, of Brownstown was not injured.
The accident remains under investigation.
