Bobby C. Richmond, age 71, of Richmond and formerly of Brookville, passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at Reid Hospital. He was born on August 20, 1947 in Whitesburg, Kentucky, to William and Beulah (Buckner) Richmond. Bobby served in the United States Army from 1966 to 1968. He married Gail Humphrey on October 12, 1968 at the Brookville United Methodist Church and together they raised two children. Bobby was employed by Ford/Visteon in Connersville for 34 years and was a member of Richmond Baptist Church. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved watching western movies and spending time with his family.
Those surviving who will cherish Bobby’s memory include his loving wife of 50 years, Gail Richmond; children, Duane (Kim) Richmond of Largo, FL, Christina (Troy) Moore of New Paris, Oh; four granddaughters, Victoria, Makayla, and Alexandra McFarland and Cailin Richmond, and one great-granddaughter, Sietta Allen. Bobby is also survived by three brothers and four sisters; Bill, Ken, and Gary Richmond, Jackie Caudill, Patti Blackmon, Darlene Rockafellow, and Marie Grimes and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Clifford and Coy, and two sisters, Sue and Brenda Lee.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, November 23, 2018 from 4 until 7 p.m. at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville. Services will be held Saturday at the funeral home at 11 a.m. and burial with full military honors provided by the Bernard Hurst Post #77 Brookville American Legion will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
