Geraldine K. Goodpaster 74, of Aurora, Indiana, passed away Thursday November 8, 2018 in Aurora, Indiana.
She was born June 14, 1944 in Dearborn County, IN, daughter of the late Edgar Nelson and Edna (Kraus) Chase.
Geri worked as a Line worker for Anchor Glass, retiring after over 45 years of service.
She was a member of Aurora Auxiliary and VFW, as well as the American Legion and Eagles.
Geri was a wonderful sister, aunt and great aunt. She was also our best friend. The most important thing to Geri was her family, she was always there for us. Geri had many, many friends that she spent time with. She loved going to lunch and a movie. She loved animals, especially Boxers. Geri loved BINGO, and Music on the River, which she never missed. She loved her yard and flowers.
Geri is survived by her sister, Jackie (Kenneth) Greive of Aurora, IN; brother, Frederic “Ric” (Gilma) Nelson; step father, Paul Chase; nephews, Kenneth Greive, Jr., Mark Greive; niece, Jennifer (David) Farmer; great nephews and nieces, Zachary, Jacob, Rebecca, Elizabeth and Seth Greive, and Bennett & Brooke Farmer.
She was preceded in death by father, Edgar Nelson, mother, Edna Chase, husband, Jack Goodpaster, great-nephew, Joseph Greive.
Friends will be received Tuesday, November 13, 2018, 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, 219 Mechanic Street, Aurora, Indiana.
Services will be held at the funeral home Tuesday at 2:00 pm with Pastor Edward Davis officiating.
Interment will follow in the River View Cemetery, Aurora, Indiana.
