Ripley County, In. — A report from the Ripley County Sheriff’s Department says a 15-year-old juvenile was struck on State Road 101 Wednesday evening around 8:42.
Deputies say a 17-year-old from Sunman, was northbound in the 8600 block of State Road 101 when he thought he struck a deer. When he turned around he found the victim on the side of the road. The victim told police he fell into the ditch while walking along the road. When he got back up to the roadway he was struck.
The juvenile was treated for non life-threatening injuries.
The Ripley County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by Rescue 20, the Sunman Fire Department, Ripley County Medic, Indiana State Police, Milan Police Department and Dearborn County Court Services.
