Wildcats Harriers Participate At Connersville Invite

The Wildcat Girls Cross Country team had a great showing at the Connersville Invitational. Not only did sophomore, Lauren Kelley, win the race, but the team placed 4th. They placed 6th at last year’s invitational. Junior, Katelyn Meyer, was Franklin County’s 2nd top performer, earning a spot in the top 25. Her time of 24:28 earned her 23rd place. Franklin county competed against 12 other teams with a combined total of 89 runners. This was a big meet, and the ladies gave a phenomenal performance. They are now looking toward the conference meet on Saturday, September 22, in Batesville.

The Franklin County Boys finished 9th out of 14 teams at the Connersville Invitational. Sophomore, Drew Grant, was the top finisher for Franklin County. He placed 29th, out of 104 boys, with a time of 19:52. Freshman, Ben Maze, was once again, the 2nd best performer for the team. He placed 46th, with a time of 20:42. Despite the heat and hilly course, the team performed well and are preparing for their conference meet on Saturday, September 22nd in Batesville.
