The Girls raced first and came in 2nd overall again to Jennings County. The girls gave an incredible effort as 4 of the 7 ran personal bests and 6 of the 7 ran in the top 25. Scoring and receiving awards for the Dogs were Lily Pinckley, 3rd with a personal best time of 20:06, Liz Loichinger (20:38), 4th, Sarah Ripperger, 10th (21:28, personal best) , Trysta Vierling, 13th (21:46, personal best), Maria Lopez, 16th (22:02, personal best) and Katie Olsen, 23rd (22:27). Also running for the Bulldogs was Ava Ralston who place 38th overall.
The Boys also placed 2nd overall in the 18 team invitational, again being defeated by a very talented Jennings County team. The Bulldogs, however had all 7 of their varsity runners in the top 25. Leading the way for the boys was Ean Loichinger placing 2nd overall (16:38), Adam Moster, 6th (16:50), Benjamin Moster, 8th (17:20, personal best), Joshus Myers, 10th (17:37), Dillon Murray, 16th (18:24), Adam Hollowell, 20th (18:37) and Nathan Eckstein, 21st (18:38). Congratulations to both the girls and the boys some tough performances!
Although the JV was not scored as a team, they did give awards to the top 15. Batesville had 8 runners receive awards in the JV race. They were: Alyssa Linville, 5th (with a personal best), Sophie Brown, 11th, Kate Poltrack, 14th, Luke Esser was runner up of the boys race, Daren Smith, 4th (with a personal best), Nathan Villani, 8th, Alex Livers, 12th (with a personal best) and Will Nuhring 15th (with a personal best). Great job to all!
Batesville will have a week of training this week as they do not compete again until Saturday for the Conference Championship! The meet has been moved to Batesville this year. Come out and support your Dogs! Action begins at 10 AM!
