Ronald G. Meyer, of Sunman, was born on July 26, 1933 in Batesville, a son to Philmer and Evelyn Pohlar Meyer. He served his country in the United States Army. Ronald married Opal N. Klostermeyer on May 10, 1958 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Batesville and together they raised 3 children. He enjoyed dairy farming for over 50 years and in his spare time coached Pee Wee and Little League baseball and liked attending basketball games. On Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at the age of 85, Ronald passed away at St. Andrews Healthcare in Batesville.
Those surviving who will cherish Ronald’s memory include his daughters, Sherryl Meyer of Sunman and Sue (Gary) Meyer of Batesville; one son, Larry Meyer of Sunman; grandchildren, Justin (Ashlyn) Meyer and Jocelyn (Michael) Xenophontos; great-grandchildren, Hayden, Hyatt and Holten Meyer, and a sister, Charleen “Tootie” Scholl of Sunman. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, September 1, 2018 from 10 a.m. until time of service at 12 noon at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 107 Vine Street, Sunman. Burial will follow in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Batesville.
