Virginia Lee “Ginny” Lockwood 86, of Aurora, Indiana, passed away Saturday August 11, 2018 in Cincinnati, Ohio.
She was born June 22, 1932 in Rising Sun , Indiana, daughter of the late Earl Lee Montgomery and Dora (Bodle) Montgomery
Ginny was a member of the Aurora Church of Christ .
She enjoyed sewing, cross stitch, crocheting, cooking, listening to Bluegrass music and church and church activities. Ginny lived in Dillsboro and Rising Sun for awhile, and lived in Florida in her youth. she loved to travel. Ginny loved her flower garden and was known for her cherry pie, but her favorite thing to do was playing card games with her grandkids.
Virginia is survived by her children, Steve Lockwood of Mariemont, OH, Michael (late, Vivian) Lockwood of West Chester, OH, Lori (Eric) Otten of Aurora, IN; siblings, Dick (Mary) Montgomery of Dunkirk, IN; grandchildren, Joshua (Lindsey Sakai)) Lockwood, Christopher (Lisa Huffman) Otten, Brian (Meghan) Otten, Kyle (Bianca Oprea) Otten, Brent Otten.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl Lee Lockwood, and several siblings.
Friends will be received Wednesday, August 15, 2018, 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, 219 Mechanic Street, Aurora, Indiana.
Services will be held at the funeral home Thursday at 11:00 am with Brother Brian Dunaway officiating.
Interment will follow in the River View Cemetery, Aurora, Indiana.
