Additional work extends one-lane restriction on U.S. 50 in Lawrenceburg

Lawrenceburg, In. — Single-lane restrictions will continue on U.S. Highway 50 at Lawrenceburg for several additional days after railroad crews rebuilding an industrial spur crossing at Shipping Street uncovered a separate set of tracks.  These tracks crossing U.S. 50 adjacent to the flood wall will be removed within the current operations to avoid further lane closures at a later date.

Meanwhile, Indiana Department of Transportation’s closure of eastbound U.S. 50 between Doughty Road and Front Street will remain in effect.  Eastbound and westbound single-lane traffic is being rerouted to the westbound side of U.S. 50 on the fly-over bridge.

INDOT’s cooperative efforts with Central Railroad are in conjunction with a $6,939,150 asphalt resurface and slide correction project impacting U.S. 50 in Dearborn County.
