Batesville, In.— Together with the Rural Alliance for the Arts (RAA) and the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra (ISO), Hillenbrand, Inc. has entered into a three-year strategic partnership agreement. The agreement is designed to increase the quality of place through arts and culture for the Southeastern Indiana region. This agreement is part of a broader regional strategy to attract and maintain a competitive rural workforce.

‘Quality of Place’ encapsulates the idea that communities with strong foundational elements like industry, quality hospitals, and exceptional school districts provide a welcoming and sustainable environment that attracts families to live and work. Elements like arts and culture fit within a broader placemaking and workforce strategy.
This year’s event will be held at the PLEX baseball and softball park (671 Pohlman St.) in Batesville on Sunday, July 1. The ISO will present its Star-Spangled Symphony performance, concluding with a patriotic fireworks finale. The event will be open to everyone and there is no cost to attend.
