The JV Lady Bulldogs were defeated by South Dearborn Monday evening by a score of 13-9.
South Dearborn got off to a fast start scoring 8 runs in the first inning off of 6 hits. They added two more in the third and three more in the fourth. The Bulldogs made a run late scoring 7 runs in the last inning to make it close but it wasn’t enough.
The Bulldogs were well balanced on offense with 8 of the 9 starters collecting hits on the evening. Paige Oldham led the Bulldogs going 2-3 with two runs scored. Other Bulldogs collecting hits were Callie Main, Abby Westerfeld, Gwen Martin, Chloe Saler, Ainsley Phipps, McKenzie Laker, and Zoe Peters.with one a piece.
Oldham went all five innings on the mound in the loss.
Batesville JV Softball will next be in action Tuesday evening at home against Franklin County.
