Franklin County Wildcats Varsity struggled to get their offense going on Tuesday, and defensive mistakes helped East Central to a 7-0 victory. The loss dropped Franklin County’s record to 6-1 on the year and 2-1 in EIAC play. With the win, East Central moves to 5-1 and 3-0 in EIAC play.
A double by Hannah Hornsby in the second inning was the lone hit for Franklin County.
M Kincer was the winning pitcher for East Central. She surrendered zero runs on one hit over seven innings, striking out eight.
Kamryn McCool took the loss for Franklin County. She lasted five innings, allowing eight hits and six runs while striking out six.
East Central tallied two home runs on the day. Kincer and Henson had home runs in the fifth inning.
East Central had ten hits in the game. J Kincer and Kincer each had multiple hits for East Central.
Franklin County will be back in action Wednesday evening when they travel to South Dearborn for another EIAC matchup. First pitch is scheduled for 5:30 pm.
