Nancy Jeanne Pence, age 72, of Metamora, Indiana died Sunday, April 1, 2018 at her residence in Metamora, Indiana.
Born January 3, 1946 in Richmond, Indiana she was the daughter of the late Marion Roscoe & Doris Lucille (Mikesell) Allison. On August 18, 1962 she was united in marriage to Richard Pence, and he survives.
She was a 1990 Graduate of Indiana University East School of Nursing, where she earned her nursing degree, as well as degrees in Human Services & Gerontology.
Nancy was retired, having been employed by the Indiana State Department of Health, as a Public Health Nurse Surveyor.
She was a member of the Brookville United Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star Chapter #449 of Brookville; Daughter of the American Revolution; the Brookville Garden Club, as well as Stayin Alive Franklin County. In her leisure time she enjoyed gardening, quilting, crocheting, and wood working.
Besides Richard her husband of over 55 years, survivors include a son, Rodney Scott (Karen Montag) Pence of Brookville, Indiana, a daughter, Sandra K. (Paul) Tallant of Chattanooga, Tennessee; five grandchildren, Ronald Wayne (Samantha) Pence, Allison (Andrew) Plaxco, Crystal (Ronnie) Morgan, Nichole Pavelchik, John Pavelchik Jr.; three great-grandchildren, Richard Everett Morgan, Tinsley Anne Pence, and Alexander Liam DelValle-Pence.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Marilyn Ewin, and two brothers, Earl Allison and Paul Allison.
Family & friends may gather from 2 until 3 P.M. on Friday, April 6, 2018, at the Brookville United Methodist Church, 150 East 8TH Street, Brookville.
Rev. Curtis Bond, Pastor of the Brookville United Methodist Church will officiate the Memorial Services at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, April 6, 2018 at the Church.
