Alma O. Miller, of Sunman, was born on February 7, 1920 in St. Leon, the daughter of Phillip and Catherine Bischoff Schuck. She married Julius M. Miller on September 7, 1949 at St. Nicholas Church. Alma helped Julius on their farm and was a member of All Saints Parish – formerly St. Paul, New Alsace and was active in their Ladies Sodality. She also volunteered at Margaret Mary Hospital in Batesville and enjoyed fishing, gardening, traveling and playing cards. On Friday, March 30, 2018 at the age of 98, she passed away at Ripley Crossing in Milan.
Those surviving who will cherish Alma’s memory include one sister, Angela Probst of Sunman, and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Julius M. Miller in May of 1975; two sisters, Marie Brunsman and Betty Gillman, and two brothers, Raymond Schuck and George Schuck.
Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, April 5, 2018 from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass at 10:30 a.m. at All Saints Parish – New Alsace Campus; Rosary will be prayed at 9 a.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
