Edna G. Slaymon, 94, Greensburg, passed away on Monday, March 19, 2018 at the Franciscan Hospice House in Indianapolis. Born, November 15, 1923 in Indianapolis, Indiana, she was the daughter of Frank and Matilda (Hoffbauer) Hoff. Edna worked for 39 years at Bank One in Indianapolis. She graduated from St. John’s High School in Indianapolis and was a current member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greensburg. She was married first to William H. Kohlstaedt and he preceded her in death in 1955. She then married James P. Slaymon, Sr. on March 4, 1972 and he preceded her in death in 2000. She is survived by one son, Phillip (Connie) Kohlstaedt; one daughter, Katherine A. (Mark) Lux; one step son , James (Patricia) Slaymon, Jr., Indianapolis; three step daughters, Judith (Willard) Murray, Indianapolis, Paula (Michael) Kidwell, Indianapolis, Catherine (Harold) Lawson; one brother, Richard (Patricia) Hoff, Indianapolis; one sister, Luella Knueven, Greensburg; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands; one brother in law, Clifford Knueven; one brother, Alfred Hoff and his wife, Irma. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 23, 2018 at the All Saints Parish St. Paul Campus in New Alsace. Rev. Jonathan Meyer will officiate the funeral mass. Interment will be held in the St. Paul Catholic Cemetery in New Alsace.
