Milan, in. — The Milan Elementary School will hold registration for both the Traditional and Readiness Kindergarten programs on Thursday, April 5.
For your convenience, there will be several sessions during which children may be registered and/or screened. Sessions will begin at 8:30 a.m. that morning and continue throughout the day in half-hour increments (8:30, 9:00, 9:30, etc.) with the final session beginning at 4:00 p.m.
It is very important to be on time for your session. The prospective student should come with the parent but, due to lack of space and available time, other children should not attend. If a parent cannot attend with the child, another adult designated by the parent must be present as a great deal of important information and paperwork is given out during the enrollment session.
Please bring birth certificates and immunization records. Also, please provide the names and phone numbers of your child’s doctor and dentist in addition to the names and phone numbers of three people (other than the parents) who could be contacted in case of an emergency. Children are not considered registered until these items are on file. A physical and dental exam are also required to be completed before school starts in August.
Please call the school to schedule a session at 812-654-2922 or 812-654-2379. The Readiness Kindergarten class size is limited and openings will fill up fast. First consideration will be given to those attending registration. Current Kindergarten classes will be in session that day.
