The Batesville High School Wrestling team opened the new year travelling to Greensburg to face the Pirates in a dual. Though The bulldogs fought hard they lost 42-24 while missing some key parts of the line-up.
Sophmore Jonah Chase got the teams only pin. Also getting wins for the team was Tyler Schaeffer, Jacob Weigel, and Drew Garbirini. Jonathan Lamping, Dallas Lamping Nick Nobbe, Axel Garcia, and Abram Garcia also had varsity match.
The Bulldogs will travel to Franklin County on Saturday to compete in their Invite.
