She was born in Batesville on August 16, 1949, the daughter of the late John and Maude (Huntington) Bradshaw. DeDee had spent her childhood growing up in town.
After graduating high school, she attended Cincinnati Conservatory to further her education. She married the late Barry Holliday in September of 1972, and they returned to the community never to leave again. DeDee was very talented in restoration and upholstery and owned and operated Country Restoration for many years. Pieces of furniture she has redone are some of the most cherished around.
She was passionate about giving back and serving as was indicative of her service as a past member of the Osgood Town Council, The Board of Directors of the Southeastern Indiana Recycling Center, Board of Directors of the Ripley County Humane Society, and the Osgood Beautification Committee. She was a long-time member of the Osgood United Methodist Church.
DeDee was proceeded in death by her parents and husband, Barry. She is survived by niece, Beth Ann (Gregory) Chris of Brownsburg and nephew, John Bradshaw of Columbus, Ohio, as well as cousins. She will be deeply missed by close friend, Sandy Hollowell and her very special four legged friend, Trudy!
No services are scheduled at this time; however, a Celebration of Life will be held in the future.
