Batesville, In. — The Batesville Street Department will conduct curb-side leaf collection from Wednesday, October 18 through December. “If residents notice city employees operating the leaf collection machine prior to October 18, it is because they are receiving training on the new machine,” said Street Commissioner Tim Macyauski.
Residents can help by following these guidelines:
- Place leaves on the edge of the street without allowing them into the driving surface or curb area.
- Be sure leaves are free of debris.
- Leaves will not be collected in alleyways.
- Leaves are collected on the street side only.
Leaf collection is offered to residents that live inside the city limits. Weather conditions could change the collection schedule.
