Bulldogs take two of three levels of play at Greensburgs home opener.…Freshmen win: 22-25, 25-15, 15-9.
The freshmen won behind strong serving from three players: Bailey Lare, Belle Wolters, and Nikki Fox. Fox rounded out the night with 7 aces according to Coach Erin Trenkamp.
JV wins (5-0): 25-19, 25-20.
Coach Shelly Prickel was proud of the JV team finising off Greensburg, they have yet to lose a set… Strong attacking form the service line and front line have been keys to their success. Anna Bauer #21 held the service line for 9 points while Maggie Walsman #6 held for 6. Kelsey Shupe #9 was 5 kills in 11 attempts at the OH position.
Varsity loses (2-3): 23-25, 25-19, 5-16, 25-18.
The way we started out on defense made me wonder how we could lose. Our middle backs were picking up everything Greensburg had…. But as Greensburg settled into a rhythm, and scored a few, we started doubting ourselves and teammates. Kudos to Greensburg for a great blocking effort and getting into our hitters heads.
