Pirates Fall To Knights In Boys Soccer

Greensburg played a hard fought game where the score wasn’t exactly conducive to how well the Pirates played. South Dearborn beat the Pirates 8-0 on Greensburg’s home field.

With the score being 2-0 at halftime, Greensburg came out strong in the second half, only allowing 1 goal in the first 15 minutes while gathering several shots on goal. Joseph Pacilio led the way with 6 shots on goal for the Pirates, many of the plays being made possible by Nick Zapfe, Vincent Pavy and Chase Springmeyer. Chase allowed for the Pirates to get several scoring chances by playing strong defense and building from the back line with great through balls.

After a few penalties in the box and some great transition play from South Dearborn,  the final score ended as 8-0 in South Dearborn’s favor.
