Edna Walls, of Batesville, was born on April 4, 1937 in Hazard, Kentucky, the daughter of George and Laura Morgan Wooton. She married Darrell E. Walls on November 12, 1959 in Owenton, Kentucky and he survives. Edna was a homemaker and a life member of the Batesville #1130 Eagles Auxiliary. In her spare time she loved gardening and growing flowers; she also enjoyed bowling, cooking and reading. On Thursday, August 10, 2017 at the age of 80, Edna passed away at Margaret Mary Health in Batesville.
Those surviving who will cherish Edna’s memory include her husband of over 57 years, Darrell Walls; a son, Charles T. Walls of Milan; 3 grandchildren, Darrell T. Walls, Zachary T. Walls and Brandon Paul; 2 great-grandchildren, Kasey T. Walls and Cruse W. Walls, and 4 sisters, Eva James of Loveland, OH, Betty Bubp of Cincinnati, Ola Bishop of Mason, OH, and Nancy Howard of West Harrison. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 4 sisters, Rumola Spencer, Helen Fields, Orlena Daniels, and Thelma Lenit, and 3 brothers, Charles Wooton, Burt Wooton and Clifford Wooton.
Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 107 Vine Street, Sunman. Services will begin at 1 p.m. and burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery, Sunman.
