Mark Grossman, 58, of Versailles passed away at 3:25am, Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Ripley Crossing in Milan. He was born at Connersville on August 21, 1958 the son of Ray and Dorothy Henneke Grossman. He was married to Paula Whitaker on October 31, 1986 and she survives. Other survivors include his mother Dorothy of Olympia, Washington; three sons Steven Grossman and his companion Devin of Madison, Whitaker (Kasey) Grossman of Dayton, Ohio, and Zach Grossman and his companion Eva Grigsby of Benham; one grandson Dalton Grossman, one granddaughter Ahlanie Grossman; two brothers Tony (Lisa) Grossman of Versailles, and Hap Clemons and Robert of Olympia, Washington. He was preceded in death by his father and his granddaughter Annabella Montgomery. Mr. Grossman was a 1976 graduate of Jac-Cen-Del High School. He was a former employee of US Shoe in Osgood and was a 26 year employee of the GECOM Corporation in Greensburg where he worked in line support. Mark was an accomplished drummer and started playing when he was only 13. He had played with several area bands. Every year he attended the Trans Am Nationals in Dayton, Ohio and this year he and his 1970 Firebird won the 30th anniversary Show & Shine award at the Southeastern Career Center’s car show. He also enjoyed attending auctions and yard sales and showing his family his many “valuable finds”. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 4th at 10:30am at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. Dick Burcham officiating. Visitation will be on Monday from 4pm to 7pm. Memorials may be given to the Benham Cemetery, Hopewell Cemetery, or Rescue 69 in care of the funeral home.
