Stop sign changes completed in Batesville

New four-way stop at Walnut and George Streets.

Batesville, Ind. — The residents of the city of Batesville are adjusting to recent changes on downtown streets. Mayor Mike Bettice believes the most challenging changes are one at the intersection of George and Walnut Streets, near the post Office, Pearl and Depot Streets and Central and Eastern Avenues.

Stop signs have been added on George Street at the intersection of Walnut Street, making it a four-way stop. At the intersection of Pearl and Depot Streets traffic on Pearl Street no longer has a stop sign. The intersection of Central and Eastern Avenues is now a four-way stop.

Motorists are advised to keep these changes in mind while traveling city streets.
