Batesville School Board recognizes Academic All-State students

BATESVILLE, Ind. — The following students were recognized at Monday evening’s Batesville School Board meeting for being academic all-state students.

Coach Chris Deal presented a certificate to the following students for Wrestling:

  • Michael Deal, son of Chris and Wendy Deal
Sylvia Philips with Coach Darrick Cox

In Girls Basketball, Coach Darrick Cox presented certificates to the following:

  • Julia Hunter, daughter of Tim and Trish Hunter (not pictured)
  • Sylvia Phillips, daughter of Bruce and Susan Phillips

In Swimming, Coach TJ Greene presented certificates to the following:

  • Hannah Cox, daughter of David and Julie Cox
  • Emily Gutzwiller, daughter of Lawrence and Elizabeth Gutzwiller
  • Mary Poltrack, daughter of Andrew and Kelly Poltrack
  • Sarah Poltrack, daughter of Andrew and Kelly Poltrack
  • Spencer Johnson, son of Terry and Patricia Johnson
  • Drake Main, son of Kip and Cara Main
  • Elliot Main, son of Kip and Cara Main
High School Principal Andy Allen with Nathan Batta

The school board also recognized Nathan Batta for being a Regional Academic All-State.
