FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ind — Franklin County Community School students in grades 7 through 12 who participate in school activities or drive to school may have to submit to random drug testing.
According to the Brookville American-Democrat, school officials outlined a new drug testing policy at March’s school board meeting.
High School principal Keith Isaacs said Franklin County is the only school in the conference that does not have a drug testing policy.
The proposed policy states the random testing is not meant to be disciplinary, and there will be mandatory drug education with testing.
The policy will be voted on at the April school board meeting.
