Maxine Combs, 67 of Milan passed away Sunday March 12, 2017 at her home with her family by her side. Maxine was born in Batesville, IN on Saturday December 31, 1949 to Elvin and Bessie (Watkins) Quicksall. She married Ronald Rollie Combs December 28, 1988 and he survives. She was a member of the Moores Hill Church of Christ. Maxine greatest passion in life was taking care of her family and spending as much time with her grandchildren as possible. Her family said her heart was pure as gold.
Maxine is survived by husband: Ronald Rollie Combs of Milan; sons: Bryan (Dawn) Wentz of Noblesville; Ronnie (Tina) Combs of Brookville; Benji (Kendra) Combs of Milan; Russell Wayne (Pam) Combs of Salem, MO; daughter: April (Ronald) McDaniel of West Harrison; mother: Bessie Kelley of Richmond, Ky; brothers: Kenny Quicksall of Greensburg; Ronnie Quicksall of Greensburg; Randy Quicksall of Rising Sun; Chuck Hawkins of Jacksonville, FL; Stan Hawkins of Baltimore, Maryland; sister: April Dodd. 15 Grandchildren, 7 Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father: Elvin Quicksall, daughter: Brittany Combs, sister: Brenda Baker, foster parents: Robert & Ann Hawkins.
Funeral services will be at 10AM Friday March 17, 2017 at Moores Hill Church of Christ 13567 State Road 350 Moores Hill, IN 47032 with Tito Pel officiating. Burial will follow in Hogan Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday March 16, 5-8PM also at the church. Memorials may be made to the Moores Hill Church of Christ or American Cancer Society.
