FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ind. — A West Harrison woman was injured in a single vehicle accident Friday morning in Franklin County.
According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department, officers responded to the single vehicle accident on State Road 252 west of Big Cedar Road.
Police say, William R. Allen, III, 15, of West Harrison was traveling west on State Road 252, but was going too fast to negotiate a curve, and after a fresh snowfall, lost control of the vehicle.
The vehicle traveled off the north side of the roadway and struck a tree head-on.
The front seat passenger, Donna Allen, 47, was airlifted to the University of Cincinnati Hospital.
William was not injured in the accident.
Police say icy roadways were a factor in the crash.
