GREENSBURG, Ind. — A Greensburg man was arrested after an altercation late last week.
Paul Kleinert, 58, was arrested on charges of Strangulation and Domestic Battery.
Police say officers were called to West First Street in Greensburg, where a young female told them that Kleinert grabbed her arm and threw her across the room into a door frame.
The victim also told police that she argued with Kleinert, and he then grabbed her, dragging her into the bedroom, and began choking her.
Officers noticed that the victim had red marks and recent bruises on her arm as well as red marks on her neck.
A witness confirmed the victim’s report.
Police say Kleinert was uncooperative and resisted getting into the police car.
Once in the car, he began hitting his head against the side window bars.
The Department of Child Services was called since the victim is a minor.
